Modern Contemporary U Shaped Kitchen Case Study | Leeds

A dated long & narrow shaped kitchen with limited
space was transformed into a
contemporary
kitchen
with additional kitchen storage and a bespoke dining area.
No strangers to Passmore Group, having previously had their bathroom transformed by our bathroom division More bathrooms Mr & Mrs Philips booked for Senior Designer Simon to revisit their home to design their kitchen, discuss their ideas and provide a provisional quote.
With Mr & Mrs Philips wanting to modernise their dated and dark galley style kitchen, that hadn’t been updated in several years, Simon used the golden triangle of kitchen design to create a bespoke contemporary kitchen design concept that made better use of the kitchen’s available space.
Light and airy in design with a beautiful balance of modernising black, brown and white, the new kitchen design incorporated built in wall units in a contemporary gloss, creating a plethora of kitchen storage whilst making use of unused space.
Wanting a place to eat within their previous limiting kitchen Simon designed a bespoke built in droppedbreakfast bar in the same on trend black Cinder Quartz kitchen worktop and splashback that runs through the contemporary kitchen design. Whilst character was added to the kitchen with brown oak style kitchen flooring.
The cupboard area above the breakfast bar was also raised to provide a more open dining space creating the illusion of a more spacious dining area. Whilst the white glossy cupboards were also built in an alcove to create space for the original fridge to be reinstalled.
Additional stylish fixtures and fittings also included the
installation of a modern induction hob creating a quicker and safer way to cook
and a bespoke built in spice rack cupboard.
A complete transformation, Mr & Mrs Philips dated kitchen with limited space was transformed into a sleek and modern kitchen with bespoke fixtures and fittings.

“We were very pleased with the way the project was managed, from start to finish. From Simon's initial design visit to Rob's project management we felt that our wishes and concerns were taken into account. Everyone involved worked in an efficient and pleasant way and made us feel as if our project was important. The work proceeded seamlessly from start to finish and we were never in the position where we did not know what was happening next. Particular thanks go to John, who fitted the kitchen and to James who had some very challenging electrics to sort out! At all times we were able to liaise with Rob who dealt very patiently with all my queries and concerns. Thanks also to the team at Head Office who were always pleasant and helpful to deal with.”
