Modern Contemporary Galley Kitchen Case Study | Bradford

An existing solid timber wood traditional kitchen that featured arch top tongue and grove doors was in need of a contemporary refurbishment that made better use of the available space.
Having purchased and fit a new range cooker is what sparked the full service renovation as a result of having to remove some of the existing cupboards and tiling to facilitate the installation. Deciding that the new shiny cooker looked out of place the clients visited our Mirfield Kitchen Showroom where they fell in love with the Laura Ashley decorative wallpaper in one of our displays which in turn set the tone and dictated their own redesign.
With a brief that concentrated on creating a light and bright contemporary design with ample storage, Senior Designer, Julie, visit the clients property to discuss their requirements in more detail as part of our free design appointment service.
Ensuring the wallpaper was incorporated, Julie proposed utilising the metro denim blue colour that was featured in the pattern by making this the base colour of the kitchen cupboards. Complimented by slim sleek chrome handles finished the look with hardwood oak flooring adding further depth and warmth to the design.
Creating space a small intruding wall was removed which would be used to house the fridge freezer. With plain simple lines the renovation was brought to life with Angelo quartz work surfaces and upstand. Simplistic and contemporary in style the space was made brighter with minimal wall cupboards however open shelving, deep drawers and utilising the windowsill created the ample storage that was required.

"Really pleased with our new kitchen. The workmanship from start to finish was excellent and very professional, despite a glitch with the worktops. Everyone who has seen it have been really impressed, using words like "gorgeous" and "wow". Highly recommend the company."
