Problem

Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher’s small kitchen was tired and had become uninspiring to use due to a multitude of problems. They wanted to refurbish their kitchen, giving it a new lease of life, and started to explore their options.

Solution

They came across More Kitchens online and were confident we could deliver our full design and fit service for their kitchen, subsequently, they proceeded to book a free design appointment.

The couple were visited by our Senior Designer Andy, who started the design process by taking measurements of the existing floor space. The triad then sat down to discuss their current woes, with a view to Andy presenting potential kitchen design ideas, and how they could best use the available space.

Listening to their ideas, Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher’s suggestions were to have a modern contemporary kitchen design with linear kitchen features, and all new electrics while retaining their existing kitchen appliances. They also wanted to maximise the kitchen worktop area, add as much kitchen storage as possible, and even mentioned removing a wall if it would help achieve the extra space in the kitchen.

Considering this, Andy made a few suggestions for the new design while incorporating the couple’s ideas. Firstly, he proposed integrating the kitchen appliances, which would increase their workspace area. Secondly, Andy suggested fitting a tall ladder unit, which would achieve the extra storage, and act as a housing for the integrated appliances which would be installed at eye level improving functionality and practicality.

The 3 of them came to an agreement that white gloss cabinets were to be fit as part of the new design, as the light would bounce from the cabinets making the small kitchen feel much larger. Delighted by Andy’s input and proposed design, the couple were happy to go ahead to the next stage. Andy provided them with a provisional quote for the works and scheduled them for a second appointment at our Leeds Kitchen Showroom.

During the second appointment, Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher were presented with various CAD visuals from different angles to help them envision what their kitchen would look like. Pleased with the visuals, Andy assisted them around the showroom helping choose their kitchen finishing touches which resulted in the couple placing an order.
